Belated Happy Fathers Day!

We have been so busy the past two weeks, so I am late with my wishing everyone a Happy Fathers Day. We spent the day celebrating at the pool. Sean is doing so great at swimming he took his first solo swim (lifejacket)that day. He swam right out to his daddy. We were so proud of him. I also was a little nervous for him but he did great. It was a wonderful first Father's Day for dad & Sean!

Dad telling Sean he can do it, and he did!

I had a great time playing with Sean!

Sean is loving the water!

1 Year ago today we met Sean!!

Wow, I can not believe it has been a year already since we first met our beautiful Bryansk boy at the Klintsy baby home! This truly was the most welcomed blessing of our lives!! I will never forget the moment when they brought him into the room!! He was so quiet and shy, but he did not seem afraid of us. It truly was love at first sight for me!!! I was a little nervous because I did not want to scare him and I did not want him to get overwhelmed with meeting these foreign sounding people with big smiles on their faces. It is very hard to put down into words what this wonderful little boy means to us. We look forward to every new day with him.

Here are a few pics of our first meeting with Sean at the baby home.

I will never forget the first time they brought our baby through the door and I was finally able to hold him. He was so bundled up for June.

His cheeks were so chubby. Precious little boy!

He was never outside so he liked being near the window to look out.

Patrick was so happy Sean was not afraid to be held by him. He was probably thinking who is this person with the deep voice!

8 months home!

Eight wonderful months ago we came home with our beloved Sean! Sean has gotten taller as now he can reach things he could not before. He has learned so much since he has been home and is improving in all areas with his Birth to 3 teachers. Sean's gross motor skills have improved so much as he has great balance and rarely falls down. He loves to run & climb inside and out.

Some more things Sean loves to do and some new things to!!
Going in the pool. Especially at the pool club.
Swinging in his swing outside.
Getting in and out of his car. Ringing the door bells as he can reach the front door bell.
Eating - Sean has tried Chicken salad, scrambled eggs and cheese.
Sean has moved on to new sippy cups, not just the same two anymore!
Go up and down the stairs (a lot!) Inside and out.
Chasing the kitty cats around the house and yelling Eee, Eee. (Guinness & Gracie are getting their exercise!)
Seeing his cousins.
Throwing rocks in the brook & in the drain.
Watching the school bus come down the street to pick up the kids. He will run to the door when he hears it coming.
Sean has added on to his video viewing, Raffi and Baby Signs he now enjoys along with old favorite Elmo.
New words we are hearing, Eat, hot & yeah.

Sean continues to amaze us everyday & we love him to pieces!

Sean like banging on bowls

Sean wanted to try dad socks on.

It was so funny watching him walk around in them!

We took Sean for his first hike up Sleeping Giant and he wanted to go off the path and climb up the rocks. No surprise to us!

Celebrations & New friends!

We had a really nice busy weekend! We started it of by celebrating Patrick's birthday as we had a nice cake for him at his mom's house! It was also Sean's cousin's 6th birthday party. It was held at place where they had laser tag, games and giant jungle gym. Sean was a little taken back by it so dad had to encourage him to try it (dad climbed through the jungle!) Dad& Sean had fun.

We also finally got together with all of our friends that adopted from Bryansk & Ekat at an event that WHFC (adoption agency) held at Colt State Park in Bristol Rhode Island. It was so nice to meet everyone that I have been talking to via blogging and just meeting through our agency, and to see how well all of the children where doing. The weather was cloudy but it did not rain. It was a great family outing. Looking forward to our next time when we can get together. It was also great day to celebrate gotcha day.

It was tough to get Sean to stand still for the group shot of the kids.

Sean was on the move.. Good thing Patrick took 20 shots of the group.

Sean warmed up to the bouncy house when a few of the older kids helped him stand up. He spent a lot time in it.. My little cutie!

Sean, Nicholas and Lina having a good old time!

We took a nice walk together down by the water.. Dad, me & Sean having a silly moment!

Mom & my little man! It was a lot of fun that day!! What beautiful park.

Sean liked the going down part..

Dad liked the giant jungle gym the most!!

Sean liked the singing and candles.

Fun happenings in June!!!

What a busy month it has been for June already! Sean is the type of kid that needs a little time to warm up to new things. He has just now really started to getting into his Little Tike's car and he does every time we go outside. We also took him to our pool club for the first time and he had a good time in the big pool. Those swim introduction classes we took in early spring really paid off. When we try to take him out of the pool he protests until I get him on the blanket and then he settles down because he knows it is time to eat. Sean loves to watch all the kids run around and will giggle while he just sits and watches them. It should be a great summer at the pool club!

Sean attended his sister's wedding too. The day was beautiful for the happy couple and Sean looked so cute in his tux. He made it to the cocktail hour(he partied down with his cousins) then it was home to bed for Sean...

We kicked of Summer by taking Sean to the Memorial Day Parade, he liked the marching bands!

Hey look I can get in & out of my car!

Goldie likes it when Sean honks the horn!

His first walk around the pool!

Sean has no fear of the water.

Sean liked floating on his back in his vest.

We took a much needed drink break. It was very warm that weekend.

Sean relaxing before the big wedding day!

Sean wanted to be where the action was!

Of course Sean had fun with his cousins..

Dad & Sean look very handsome that day!
