Outdoor fun!

This past weekend was so nice we had a great time spending the weekend outdoors. We were happy to see the St. Patrick's day parade on Sunday. We welcomed Sean's new cousin Wyatt on March 18th and celebrated cousin Madalyn's 3rd birthday on the 13th.

Great day at the Park.

5 months home and St Patrick's Day!

We had our 3 month post placement meeting and of course Sean was great in the office. He was so happy and engaging with me and our social worker. Sean is doing really well with his teachers from Birth to 3. He gets very excited when his favorite teacher comes to see him! She got to hear him say Goldie twice and I just heard him say Elmo. But he usually leaves off the “E”. It is great to hear him say new words and sounds.

Sean is doing well with play group. He sat and had a snack with the other kids for the first time and he really enjoys the singing in circle part at the end of each week. He sits on my lap, but sometimes has no problem sitting on other mom's lap in the group too. I realize his actions are partly because he is used to so many different female caregivers that he had in the orphanage. Plus if they are wearing jewelry he is right there to look at it!

Sean has really become a very affectionate little boy. He always gives hugs to daddy and me. He now puts out his cheek for mom to give him a kiss. Sean's latest craze is going up and down the stairs by just holding the rail and holding my hand. He is so proud of himself. We clap when he finishes and he joins in the clapping!

This year's parade day was rained out so we did not attend. But we did go to the Irish Club and Sean had fun watching the Irish dancing. My sister was not able to make it up for the weekend but she will be up here permanently very soon. She is finally making the move back to Connecticut and we are very happy to have her. She is so happy to be able to see Sean all the time.

There is nothing like having your family around especially a sister who is also a friend. I am looking forward to all the things we can share and things we can do together. My dad came home from the hospital and is doing better. He is very happy to be in his own bed and home with his pals.

St. Patrick' Day was celebrated by Patrick taking a half of day off from work and we went to our local Irish pub for a little St Patty’s day celebration with Sean leading the parade!

Sean is doing amazing well and we are so in love with our son!

Here is few pics of our Leprechaun! Happy St. Patty's Day!

Day trip and thoughts of my dad!

The weather has been great this past week. It has been nice going outside with a light jacket on. This past Sunday we decide to take a trip to the Aquarium in Mystic. It was fun day! Great to see Sean smile at the sea lions.

This past week my thoughts and prayers have been with my dad as he had to be admitted to the hospital. It has not been easy week for him or my sister who has been running back and forth to the hospital and to his house to take care of his pets. It has been a long week with lots of phone calls. He is getting better and hopes to be home by the weekend. Thinking of you always Dad.
Had a nice quiet night at home celebrating my birthday with my boys!

Here is a few pics of the day at the Aquarium and just some cute shots of Elvis (Sean's nickname)

I think he enjoyed watching the sea lions swim!

Laughing at the dad playing with the sea lion.
Sean took his first nap on Molly.

Enjoying the warm weather.

Future heartbreaker!

Happy March!!

I am sure looking forward to spring this year! I cannot wait to get out and do some warm weather things with Sean. We are looking forward to Patrick’s High Holy Day, "St. Patrick’s Day." We will be taking Sean to the parade in New Haven this year! Even his Aunt will be coming up from NJ to join in the fun and we will celebrating our birthday's together to. Just about the entire family goes to the event or is marching in the parade, not the mention the countless number of friends that will be there. It will be a fun day, let’s hope the weather is good.

I have also signed Sean up for swim lessons for six weeks beginning in April to get him ready to swim at the pool club this year. We have also planned a family trip to the Jersey Shore at the end of summer. It will be great to show Sean and Patrick where mom went to the beach and where I grew up. This will be a very busy summer for us with day trips, graduations and Sean's sister's wedding! We are so looking forward this summer.

Here are just some funny faces and cute things Sean has been doing!

What a face!

Mum mum bought him this ball..

Hugs for his cousin Eoin!
