7 months home & 1 year ago we got our referral call!

It is hard to believe that one year ago on May 15th we got the referral call telling us that a little boy was waiting for us in Bryansk, Russia. It was the greatest feeling in the world. I was so happy to know that we would get ready and leave in a month to finally meet our son. It was unexpected, yet expected at the same time. We were so happy and relieved the call finally came after waiting 8 long months for it.

Today is seven months home for Sean. Time has gone by so quickly. Sean is doing very well! It is so hard to put into words all the little changes and progress Sean has made in the last seven months. One of the most important is how we have bonded. Daddy calls Sean a "Mommy's boy"... I love all the hugs I get from him everyday. It is great to see him so happy (and his Mommy too!)

My cutie!

Aunt Denise pushing in the Sean in the back yard!

Dad climbed up the tree! I was impressed too!

Sean having fun in his swing, watching dad act silly in the tree above him.

Sean was making friends at the park! It was so funny to watch the two of them go back and forth yelling at each other.

Love his little shorts!

Sean loves all puddles no matter how small it is.

My boys!!

Sean giving Jack a hug hello!

Sean and Madalyn having a wrestling match!

He looks so cute. He seems to be getting bigger too! Great pics. We miss you guys. We definitely need a play date soon. Are you heading to the WHFC event this weekend? We are!

Barb here - I work with Pat and he just sent me the link to your blog. I love it!

I have to confess that I completely misinterpreted the puddle picture at first glance - thought maybe Sean had an accident and was jumping in it! You can tell he's all boy!

Hi Sharon,
Just read all of your recent posts. I have not seen you on facebook in a while so I checked here. Sean is getting so big and has such a great smile. You can tell that he is a happy child. You and Patrick are having a lot of fun with him. I am glad your sister finally made the move up there. It is nice to have your family nearby.
Love, Rosemarie
