We made to Moscow! We arrived at 10:03 Moscow time. After a very long flight and my stiff neck, We were happy to get off the plane, but not before the Ministry of Health came on the plane and had to take every one's temperature for the Swine flu. It looked like a large laser gun! (Sharon thought it might make her hair blonder and asked for another scan!) Ha ha Patrick, I have to keep him out of my blog. We went through customs with no problem, But a Russian woman tried to seize our luggage, I recognized the pink bow and said excuse me but that is mine, the woman apologized and I won my suitcase back! Then we meet our driver Michael and tried our best to communicate with him. Only a few words, but we made it to the hotel Arbat and relaxed in the lobby. We spoke with Olga our translator on the phone and we are to meet up with Michael at 5:OO in the lobby. He will take us to the train for 6:00pm departure. Olga says we will reach Bryansk at Midnight. So we were left to explore Russia on our own. Before our driver left us he pointed on which way to go. We had time to do some shopping. It is a really neat street with all kinds of stores pubs and restaurants. Patrick of course found an Irish pub. We went to Starbucks Cafe and had a cup of coffee and then we headed back to the hotel lobby where there was a bar and the bartender spoke English. We spoke to Olga again on the phone and we are not sure where we are staying in Bryansk because the hotel we were planning to stay in has no hot water today, so we will find out when we get there what hotel we will stay at. We did not have to time to see Red Square on this trip. So we are off to meet Olga. What an adventure we our on.

Congrats on your safe trip. Moscow really is pretty huh? Michael was nice but conversation is very limited. I wish we had stayed closer to Arbat Street. I hear it is really nice. We were about 10-15 minutes walk away and with Colby in February weather, that wasn't going to happen. Keep us posted!
