You grew in our imagination, in our hearts and in our minds

So long June, Happy 4th of July!

June was truly a busy and an exciting month with so much going on with our family and with Sean. We had 3 graduates in the family, and all three were from the same immediate family! Two from college and one from high school(you rock Kerry!). We attended our newest nephew’s baptism. We also brought Sean to his first Irish Festival. It was a great afternoon out for us and Sean. He got to hang out with his cousins and we got to socialize with our friends. I think the rest of our summer will be pretty quiet.

Our most exciting news is... Sean has just started saying new words!! (yeah!!). One night at bedtime I was reading to Sean and ended with one of Sean’s favorite wordbooks. It has button he can push and hear the word. Well he pushed the word Apple and looked right at me and said “Apple” so clear. Patrick and I looked right at each other (like OMG did he just say…) Than he pushed four more and said shoes, train and cat. WOW. We both had tears of joy for Sean. He is really starting to copy words his hears and sees from his toys that say words or videos he likes. Sean likes to make the same sound of Ernie’s laugh when Ernie laughs at the end of the song "Rubber Ducky". He does it all the time. He likes to count everything and the number three and eight are the ones that come out very well pronounced. Sean has been signing for“more” consistently. When Sean hears a favorite song of his, he makes me come into the room and sing it to him. It is so funny. We are hoping these new words stick with Sean.

Our 4th of July was great. Dad had off Thursday and Friday so it was a nice five days together for our family. We started out our holiday by taking Sean to go on an old fashioned trolley ride but most of our time was spent at the pool club by staying cool and having a family cookout. Sean is doing amazing well in the water as he likes to go out in the deep end so he can kick and spin around in the water. He has become our "Seanie Ducky"!

Sean spent some time hanging out with his cousins.

This was a fun thing to do with Sean. Patrick's dad brought him when he was a little boy.

Sean can now get in and out of his swing on his own.

Sean and Molly enjoying spending time together.

Sean liked the Irish Festival and all the running around with Ronan & Eoin

Sean's three older cousins that graduated & Kerry looking so beautiful for her prom.

Wow! You have been very busy. I love Sean's smile when he's in the water. He is so cute. And becoming such a big boy.
