More doctor's visit's for Sean!

We have been to the doctor three times already, but not because he is ill. Sean got his flu shots. He also got his chicken pox vaccination. The last test was for TB, which came out negative. He did great up until they stuck him, then he was a very upset boy and Mommy did her best to comfort him. Once we were in the lobby he was back to himself.

Our biggest concern is whether to get his vaccinations redone or believe the medical reports that have been given to us in Russia. I am getting a second opinion from Yale medical clinic on Monday. I also consulted with Dr. Skurkovich from RI that helped us on our first trip. His opinion is we should not have the vaccinations redone if Sean is reasonably well nourished and the records are good.

Sean (and his father) have been healthy since we have been home. It is his mom who has had everything! Sean will be going for a complete physical next Monday. I hope that will be it for awhile. We are enjoying our singing little man. He is entertaining us every day. Here are a some pics of our few weeks home with him.

Sean enjoys visiting his mum mums.

Sean was not sure what to make of his singing dogie.

One of Sean's favorite toys, he love to hug and squeeze it.

Great photos of Sean. He looks great! I hope you are feeling better. We brought Colby to the Yale clinic as well. We saw Dr. Cappello. He ran the "titers" test on Colby for vaccines. It shows if the y have the antibodies or not. Some came back positive some negative, even though the records show the vaccines were done. After talking to him and our pediatrician we decided to redo only the vaccines that came back with no antibodies. The only question was the chicken pocks but we didn't do that one. Hope to see you all soon! Call if you want to chat.

Hi Sharon,
Sean looks so handsome! He seems happy and comfortable in his new home.
I remember the numerous visits to the doctors offices. You will get through it, and at the end will feel confident and relieved at his good health.
I hope that you are enjoying your fall with Sean and that you are feeling better!

We redid the shots per advice of the international clinic at Hasbro (Dr. S was out I think at the time due to hip surgery). It is so hard to know the right thing to do! The challenges of parenting...

Sean looks like he is doing fabulous!!
